A Checkbook Revelation!

Show me your checkbook, bank statement or latest credit report and I will show you who you love. Read Luke 12:13-21 & Matthew 6:21

Where do you spend your money and on what or whom do you spend it? Lets be real about it, money is one of the most treasured assets in the world. People die over it, kill over it, betray people over it, commit lewd acts over it, steal for it, and the list could go on forever. But money isn't the problem cause money is not evil, it's our love for it and the things we do when we get it that causes us to lose our mind (see 1 Timothy 6:10). And that is why it is important to examine our spending habits. Are you giving god His share? I'm not just talking about when you have it. Are you giving out of your lack? Are you giving when the bank account says we maybe you shouldn't give this week? God gives to us regardless of our spiritual condition. Not because he has to, but because he loves us so much that he desires to. Do you feel the same way about him? Do you love him enough to trust that he will keep his word to provide for you. Do you believe that he will not fore sake you and that you will not have to beg, borrow or steal to meet the needs of your family? Notice I said needs and not wants. Don't believe me read it for yourself.

“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts; “And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the Lord of hosts. (Malachi 3:8-12 NKJV)
